A version of this post was originally published on our old site Born to be a Bride, entitled "Endings & Beginnings."
On Sunday morning the Eighth of September we boarded a plane from JFK to Milano and headed by car North to Lake Como. Many more details on the honeymoon will be coming soon but this is a more generalized post. I must admit that I pouted and even shed a few tears as we left Tuscany on Thursday morning to head back to Milan for the evening and depart early the next morning. All of this planning–the details, the time, the constant phone calls with my mother and sister-in-law, poring over invitations and floral arrangements, program designs and aisle runners, it’s all come to an end. And ditto the most fabulous, luxurious, romantic, beautiful, indescribable vacation of my life. Oh, and another birthday to boot.
But here we are in the air, flying home from JFK to Dallas, soon to touch down, go home, unpack and start our real life as man and wife. A new chapter begins this week, and I can’t wait to share the details with you. Oh, and if you thought this self-indulgent wedding planning blog was coming to its close, think again. We are relaunching soon and will be covering everything from beauty trends to Bridal Fashion Week picks, etiquette to, yes, personalized aisle runners. Stay tuned.
